Dramatic Increase of Admission Requests at the University of Ottawa
The research carried out by David and Goliath showed that French-speaking students of the Outaouais region perceived the University of Ottawa as an Anglophone university. Moreover, the Ontario university network was perceived as being expensive, and its generous scholarship program wasn’t well known. Students preferred to go to Montreal to finish their academic studies. Paradoxically, distance from home was an important factor in choosing a university. As for college students who were getting ready to start university, they were mainly worried about their future and wanted to be certain that their university of choice would allow them to get good job offers.
